It looks like switching the M and the W is the fix. The M will still look great upside down, but this one won't. Better to use this W as the M.

for a quick fix -try using the M (flipped) or the E (rotated). Will do ok for solo "W", might look strange in a word, balance of the letter might look different.

PLEASE...can you fix this letter W? It's obviously upside down! If I flip it, then the bow will be upside down too! =0( If this is supposed to be the M, then can you flip over the M to be the W? Thank you!

thank-you - I think I would like to use this letter as 'M" and flip the original M to use it as a "W"; they are all lovely designs and nice to have a new applique alphabet ready for Christmas gifts.

I have seen the w look like an m in many different types of things, including one of my Sizzix decorative strip alphabet dies. It may be one of those old-fashioned things, folks.

Why is the letter W upside down? If I put it on something so that the W is right side up, the bow is upside down. Doesn't look right.

Thanks but will have to tweak so it doesn't look like an "M".

This is not a W as others mentioned. For those who flipped it and then removed the bow, how did you fix the holes left by the bow being removed? The stitches are gone underneath the bow so you will not have those in place to stitch the fabric down for your applique. I agree if just a regular design, flipping it would work, but it doesn't appear as it would for an applique because of those missing satin stitches after removal of the bow.

Looking again at this letter it appears to actually be the M and the M listed is actually the W. If you look at the other letters in the set the H,K,L and likely also the M & W the straight line of the design in the letters that have it, it is across the top, and would then also make sense with what had been digitized for the M & W just that the letters were mixed up in the posting. It will be how I will relabel the letters and use them.-Just one solution to the situation. Happy Stitching!
